Gundy

Gundy is a bare-nosed wombat. Bare-nosed wombats live in forests of south-eastern Australia. They feed on grasses and plant roots and dig burrows for shelter.

Happy Feet

Happy Feet is an emu. Emus are found in scrublands and arid areas of Australia.

Emus are the second-tallest bird in the world. Although they cannot fly, they have powerful legs and can run up to 50 km an hour.

Arnold

Arnold is a koala. Koalas are found in the eucalyptus forests of the east coast and south of Australia. They get very little energy from their eucalyptus leaves, so sleep up to 20 hours a day. A koalas closest relative is the wombat.

Miri

Miri is an alpine dingo. Alpine dingoes are found in the Australian Alps and are mostly ginger in colour. Dingoes in other parts of Australia vary from dark tan to black. Dingoes help control feral pests, which destroy the environment and small native animals.

Aisha

Aisha is a red-necked wallaby. Red-necked wallabies are found in forests of eastern Australia and Tasmania. Red-necked wallabies have a reddish coat around the back of their neck, black paws and nose, and a dark stripe down the centre of their face.
